Behind the Lens

I’m Victoria Cunanan, a Boulder-based branding photographer and multidisciplinary artist. My work explores identity and place therefore, I made it a mission of mine to help people and businesses accurately represent themselves or their brand, with imagery that feels honest, intentional, and unmistakably theirs.

I picked up my first camera at nine, a Fujifilm disposable camera, and it quickly became how I processed my emotions. The view through my lens has always felt like an honest portrayal of the world and the people arround us. That honesty followed me into studying Multimedia and Digital Arts, and into a career spanning film and digital photography, creative direction, set design, and multimedia sculptural work.

Today I specialize in branding for artists, athletes, and wellness businesses. I’ve shot campaigns for Life Time Fitness, TAZO, and Express, and my work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times and Vogue online. My approach is never copy and paste. I look for what’s true about a person, product, or experience and present it on its own terms.

My favorite part of this process is learning about you (and your brand), collaboratively master-minding the perfect vision board, and making it come to life, even better than we imagined. This part of the business is not supposed to be stressful, let’s get together and make this a fun experience!
